Super Dave Osborne was so confusing to me as a kid. He never breaks, it took me a long time to finally understand it really is a character, but that he never breaks.
-
Dave's ability to seem disappointed or upset in a high laugh zone is incredible! Harland Williams is great at it too.
-
The way he can tell a joke and not laugh makes him one of a kind. Rip super dave
-
How he was able to do that with a straight face is incredible
-
His straight face is Killing me !! So funny 🤣🤣
-
Honestly, the dead-pan joke and the stupid lips does make it funnier.
-
His lips and deadpan stare at the audience really got me but "the size of her opening" nearly killed me
-
The fact that Super Dave never breaks adds so much.
-
Super Dave is about the most self aware comedian I've ever seen. There are very few like him.
-
Bob Einstein and Norm Macdonald are two of the all time greats. Sucks we lost both so early
-
if this was any other host they would be talking over dave and overly laughing at the joke, conan letting him go and just being like "wtf are you doing" is exactly what this segment needs
-
Super Dave and Norm together is a riot. And Norm's SD impression is spot-on!
-
RIP Super Dave. He definitely left a huge void in Curb. Watching him and Larry play off each other was great television.
-
SD's deadpan ability is unrivaled. I remember watching Bizarre as a kid and always enjoyed his "stunts". Having really watch Curb, but now I think I will have to check it out. Totally underrated comedian.
-
I love how Conan and Andy genuinely laugh at all the brilliant comedians on this show. They both have awesome laughs!!
-
This kind of humor is hard to replicate, Super Dave was the master of the deadpan and strange humor. So glad there is plenty of footage and material of SD at his best. RIP.
-
One of the most underrated deadpan comedians of all time. He’s was one of the first comedians I ever saw, my grandparents had a taped vhs of one of his specials where at the end he’s playing piano on a double decker bus and then it drives under an overpass and takes the whole top of the bus out haha.
-
Whenever Conan loses it, I’m dying. But when ANDY breaks? That’s gold, Jerry. GOLD!
-
These jokes have Norm MacDonald written all over them. 😄
-
Growing up in Canada and watching him on Bizarre, he was such a wonderful part of my childhood. RIP Bob.
