Thanks for watching! What other "grocery stores" would you like us to feature?

On a note: one of the TJ's here in Santa Rosa, CA just burned out in the wildfires. Unlike other companies sharing the same fate, TJ's kept all employees and moved them to other close by stores. Of course those stores now get more business from the customers not able to shop at the destroyed location, I still thought it says something about TJ's that they care about their employees a bit more than other employers. TJ's will continue to get my business although now the closest location is considerably farther than it used to be.

I really like Trader Joes. I spent like almost 40 bucks and got four full bags of groceries and it was so delicious. I like Trader Joe's
  • I experience reverse sticker shock every time I go to trader Joes. I really expect it to be more expensive, because of the organic quality.
  • Love Trader Joe's, great store, cheerful staff that seems to reflect their job circumstances. Frequently have food samples, flowers and greeting cards are reasonably priced, their own brands are very good.

tj employees are always beyond nice, catering even! we hv shopped many locations across the country as we relocate often, and hv never been disappointed. amazing price point. amazing food quality. amazing variety. tj is our weekly staple run...in between our monthly costco trips 🖤
  • The first Trader Joe's was and still is in Pasadena on Arroyo Seco Parkway. The street is just a few blocks from the end of what we call "The Pasadena Freeway" or US Highway 110 headed north. My dad started us shopping at Trader Joe's when they opened a store in city of Alhambra, just south of Mission Road and across the tracks. The store they started there before that was a huge liquor store with a delicatessen. I remember the old days when about half of what the original stores were selling were inexpensive wines and beers from local micro-breweries, along with stuff, like California cheeses, especially white cheddar cheese. It was explained in their newsletter. "The Frequent Flyer," that cheddar cheese is naturally white and that orage colored food coloring is added to mek the cheese look yellowish orange.

Watch out for the Union Square location in NYC, its notorious... I went recently at 9:30pm, they had all 24 checkouts staffed and there were two separate checkout lines winding around the store each with a 15 minute wait. I hear people often go to the store in pairs, one gets in line as soon as they walk in and the other shops for the food.

I lived in St. Pete, the parking lot is NEVER empty. Usually, it's an old lady trying to run me over when I walk to the door.
  • 6/13/19....Trader Joe's is fantastic. I love their nuts/spices/cereals/cheeses. My pets have always loved the holiday fog biscuits---esp pumpkin! Great candies....strange & new items every visit. I used to go 12 mi to my closest Trader Joe's to shop every week. Now I'm retired & 60 mi from my closest TJ....THAT SUCKS! 😅 Heading up there today b/c I watched this video & I'm having "homesick pains" with only remedy being a TJ shopping "adventure"!
  • Fun Fact: We even know Trader Joe's in Germany, since some of their branded items are also produced for some grocery stores over here. Especially those items that are very typical for American food.

I love TJ since I live in LA I have access to many of their stores... my bill is 1/2 of other stores!

I went to Trader Joe’s for the 1st time last Saturday (4/14/18). I’m a fairly new vegan and as most vegans know, trying to buy organic produce can be obscenely expensive! I was very impressed by their reasonable prices. I went to the store on E. 14th St. in NYC, so I wasn’t able to really stock up because I was taking public transportation and I live in one of the outer boroughs. I found the staff to be friendly, cheerful and helpful. Also, they have an unbelievable variety of goods and I can safely say that I will definitely become a regular!

I love Trader Joe's! Publix, who?
  • @califdad4
I don't shop there as much as I used to, but still like them, they have great prices on most meats , coffee , vegetables , cheese, nuts and breads and cereal . The I go to is under a mile from my house and I can do about as good there as WinCo. but not on toiletries . I seem now days to hit my local Grocery outlet and Safeway. The Tjs near me is swamped most of the time, and its in shopping center and has loads of parking but its very full near the store
  • Ref 1:25 - Hey, this TJ's is at Union Square, NYC (the first in NYC)! :) Shopped there for many years ... until they opened the 2nd one in Chelsea. More than enough times, shoppers had to line up outside (the one in Union Square) to be let in to shop (because the store was too full) ... sort of like a line to a hot night club, haha!
  • @GGW889
My all-time-fav-store! Not to mention the staff is SUPER FRIENDLY & HELPFUL. ☺❤ They could teach the competition a thing or two about customer service with a smile. I've even gotten my husband on board. He loves TJ too!! TFS
