📝 "The Neighbors" Lyrics:

Say hello
To the couple that just moved in
Wonder where they're from and where they've been
Don't forget to bring cookies and the brownie tin

Ring the door
Painted faces and sparkling eyes
Picture perfect with their pearly whites
Nice to meet you hope to see you again sometime

But they don't know
When the night comes
I can hear the wicked things they say
From my bedroom window
All the messes that they've made
They fight and yell and scream
Smash the glass like no one's listening
I guess everybody's got their problems
'Cause they say things like

Why did you cheat on me
Get out of my house
It's time for you to leave
Please don't make me go
I don't wanna be alone forever

But hush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything
Shush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything

Hi hello
Didn't mean to bug you guys today
I'm just checking if you're all okay
Heard some noises coming from your apartment late at night

Oh no
There ain't nothing wrong in paradise
Must have been somebody else's fight
Nice to see you gotta run we'll keep it down next time

But they don't know
When the night comes
I can hear them call out their mistakes
From my bedroom window
All the love has been erased
They fight and yell and scream
Do they even know how they started arguing
I guess everybody's got their problems
'Cause they say things like

Why did you cheat on me
Get out of my house
It's time for you to leave
Please don't make me go
I don't wanna be alone forever

But hush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything
Shush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything

Oh how the mighty fall
Castle in flames from a hole inside my wall
I guess everybody's got their problems
'Cause they say things like

Please
Please come back to me
I should have never tried to make you leave
I won't ever go
You and I were meant to be together

But hush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything
Shush now
Please don't scream
The neighbors they can hear everything

I can hear everything
I can hear everything

I was just 7, when I was the neighbour. Midnight, they fought, so loudly. I got terrified, when they repeatedly smashed the windows. The glass cracking loudly. I covered my head with a pillow, but i still heard it all.

does anyone else here people speaking (fighting) behind the song? IDK, maybe it's just my earphones not working, but this song is amazing.

"Rosendale - The Neighbors" is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged song that delves into the complexities of human relationships and the impact of our actions on those around us. The lyrics of the song are written in such a way that they paint a vivid picture of the struggles and conflicts that can occur within a neighborhood, and the voyeuristic nature of being a neighbor. The song starts with the narrator saying hello to the new couple that has just moved in and wonders where they are from and where they have been, but as the song progresses, the lyrics reveal the darker side of this seemingly innocent interaction. The lyrics highlight the voyeuristic nature of being a neighbor, as the narrator listens in on the private arguments and fights of the couple who recently moved in. The imagery used in the lyrics is particularly effective in capturing the sense of unease and discomfort that comes with being privy to the private lives of others. The use of phrases such as "wicked things they say" and "smash the glass like no one's listening" adds a layer of tension and drama to the song. The repeated refrain of "but hush now, please don't scream" also emphasizes the idea that the narrator is an outsider, looking in on something that is not meant for their ears. The lyrics also touch on the theme of relationships and the difficulties that can arise within them, as the couple is heard arguing about infidelity. This theme is relatable to many people as everyone has gone through similar situations in their lives, and the song reflects on the fact that though everyone has their own problems, they all want to be loved and they want to be together. It touches on the idea that sometimes people make mistakes and they regret them later, wishing they could go back and undo what they did. Furthermore, the song also highlights the theme of loneliness and the fear of being alone, as the couple is heard saying "Please don't make me go, I don't wanna be alone forever". This theme adds an emotional depth to the song and makes it relatable to many people as everyone has felt lonely at some point in their lives. Overall, "Rosendale - The Neighbors" is a song that deals with various relatable themes such as relationships, mistakes, regrets, loneliness, and love in a very profound and emotional way. The lyrics are written in such a way that they are able to evoke a wide range of emotions in the listener. The song can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, and it is definitely worth listening to. #Rosendale #TheNeighbors #Relationships #HumanEmotions #VoyeuristicNature #Mistakes #Regrets #Loneliness #Love.

This song is hitting home for me because my sister is in the same situation as the song. I want to help but she says she's fine but i can feel the pain. It's hard to be the older brother if you can't help your younger siblings. Im doing what I can.
