Honestly, Buell is the only rarest horse in the game in my eyes. You only get it once, and once its gone, its gone. Unlike the rest, it can respawn or repurchase.

The horses i find rare are: Buell Raven black shire Tobiano hungarian halfbred (i hope thats right, its black n white paint) Tennessee walker from sadie's ranch in the beginning. All these horses you cannot find in the wild.

I still find the white arabian the most magical one to get, and for sure it's due to my 1st time playing the game ever back in the day. "You entered a legendary animal area". Wow... and looking for the horse, finding it almost glowing in the snow white background. Such a great game!

I wonder if the rarity of the horse is linked to how often the game tries to murder it.

This should have been Arthurβs happy ending if they decided to let him live. A home in the rolling green pastures with lots of horses to spend time with. In fact, Iβm π― % positive that this is what he is doing in heaven. Even though heβs only a fictional character.

there's three fastest and overall good horses in rdr2 storymode (no mods) and those are 1. Missouri Fox Trotter 2. Turkoman and 3. Reverse Dapple Thoroughbred (from Ultimate Edition). In rdr2 online, horse stats don't matter, all horses have it the same, but the animations are different, so it seems like some horse is faster than the other, so in online, just pick a horse you like the most and buy the best saddle (the one with the biggest - drain rate) and you'll be good. I'm saying this from experience.

The Braithwaite Turk is my favorite horse... then the Arabian (red one) you can find in the wild!

there's actually a rare color for the morgan as well that was added in a later update, I believe it's the liver chestnut color. legit my favorite horse in the game! morgan's are simple horses, not the best I know but that liver colored one is just so pretty. does have some decent stats in some areas too but I just love the look of it too much to really care for speed or sturdyness. as long as you know how to ride your horse and shoot, you'll manage!

I feel the silver dapple pinto fox trotter (specifically the one from the albert mason mission, not biscuit) is the best overall, it rarely bucks you off, doesnt shy away too easily, handling is perfect, stamina top tier and speed/acceleration rivals the arabians. Plus it looks majesticβ¦.aside from the warhorse pre-order which is my second favorite, the dark dapple hungarian is awesome, it just kinda feels like arthurs big badass boah

i have that blood bay thoroughbred as my main horse rn in story mode, hes one of my favorites :) i caught him in the forest with all the bare trees by little creek river if anyone wants to know

The red chestnut color for the Arabian is really stunning I wish there are more like that different breeds

The Ardennes horses (except the grey one unless you have that download code) can all be bought at different stables, the Belgians can be found pulling wagons.

Once you get one of the murfree horses, you're sorted. They are the best cos they NEVER buck you off.

I'm not very far in the game yet, but right now I like the dapple gray hungarian halfbred I got from a bounty hunting mission and the palomino american standardbred race horse I got from a fellow on the side lf the road. I'm not sure if they're available again in the game so I am trying not to lose them.

Unique horses are the first Arthur Tennessee Walker, the black raven Shire, John thoroughbred, grey Ardennes and Buell

I love my tiger stripe mustang. Tough as nails, and wasn't easy to get.
