I can't believe how she manages to make this song that everyone has heard so many times sound so refreshing, special and beautiful.

I don't care if it's "easy to play", it's still one of the best pieces ever made.
  • @Koldarth
i love how she "caress" the piano keys
  • It is considered easy piece but by notes only. I have never seen anyone capable to grasp a true feelings in it however. And Lisitza performs it the way so she shut up all the disrespectful audience. Just remarkable.

This interpretation = Valentina sacrificing ego for the grace this song greatly deserved.

the passion in her fingertips.....timeless an easy piece to playbut I have never heard it of this perfection.

She has managed to take what is considered a cliche- a beginner piece, over-played, simple- to something that makes you feel as if you've been transformed to heaven. You feel utter peace when you hear her play this. It's absolutely delicious. Sometimes it's the easier pieces that really shine when expert like her plays them.

this woman is a goddess, I have no words to describe her performances

This listening to her play this it is almost hypnotic no? She plays with such ease that it is as if the music is emanating from itself, I don't know if I have heard Fur Elise this way before.

I discovered her about 5 years ago then watched her being interviewed. I loved her sense of humour in the way that she described her fingers, almost as if each one had its own personality. It’s a privilege to watch her play this - I’ve felt tears forming at the beauty of what certain musicians can create. It just happened again.

I love how they first laughed and then realized that this 'simple piece' is no joke in her playing

BY FAR the BEST interpretation of the classic "Fur Elise" !!! Never seen such sensitivity ! BRAVO, VALENTINA !!!
  • @TheTimonate
The audience laughed at the beginning because it was such a simple piece. But to be honest, no one plays this piece with such emotion and artistry as her!
  • @Sazuza2
There goes Für Elise once and for all. The audience laughs because it typically is the first piece any aspiring piano player learns. So everyone who knows someone with a piano, has heard some timid attempt at playing it. It has become, in some ways, lesson 1. Now, the fact that Valentina Lisitsa comes in for a 4th (!!) encore and starts playing the much listened tune, well, that´s kind of unexpected and funny. Nobody laughed at Beethoven, ok?
  • This music is pure love. Listen through your heart.Beethoven would have loved her so much ..

To those that have said she doesn't play with much emotion on her harder pieces that she's played, this is proof she can play with an absolute metric ton of emotion. Those pieces just require much more focus on musicality, quickness, and make it hard to flood each note and passage with emotion, but she nonetheless does it.

People may have laughed, and you all may say this is an easy piece, but I have never heard it before so well played. It completely changed the way I think of it. It's so beautiful played like this! Amazing!
  • Everyone plays this like they are trying to win a race. This was absolutely magical!!!!

I just want to be that Elise who this was written for.
