Published 2023-11-26
Cultural Caravan TV presents a timely conversation with noted specialist, Dr. Sarah L. Webb on Colorism in the Black African American community. This is a post traumatic slavery issue that has its roots on the plantation but has an impact that still impacts us to this very day. Why are some dark-skinned woman and men bleaching their skin? Why does the color cast system still pervasive in every aspect of our society? We will discuss this and more in Part 1. Part 2 will discuss the strategies for healing. Tune in and tell a family member and friend.

An important topic. I have seen the impact of colorism on discipline ( from reprimand to suspension) within the school system.
  • So colorism is just a name given to the jealousy blacks feel toward mixed race people for having advantages. And you believe that's a valid moral grievance?!
