What makes the Olympics so tough is it's a single game elimination. This isn't no 7 game series. Of course USA are the favorites but one bad game and they aren't winning gold.

I think the competition is more stiff than people expect.

Americans generally do tend to believe they are the center of the universe for most things and are humbled when truly challenged by the world, but with basketball they might be right. I think it's beautiful to see these icons play in the Olympics under the same team. It's a blessing not to be taken for granted.

Retired "Dream Team" should be the name of this one. A bunch of great players past their prime and some good additions that haven't managed (and probably won't) to be become a team. Not scary at all.. Serbia, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and even Greece can give them a run for their money
