These memes were all either edgy or weirdly horny. I miss this stuff, fr. Banger time in life.
  • @kittercatow
Ah yes.. back when animation memes were just characters being edgy with no story or anything, just good ol edge. I miss those times

these slightly nsfw animations memes like bikini body, papito, boom x4 or gucci gucci really hits different when you're not 12 anymore like damn, they were really showing softcore p0rn in front of our faces huh
  • I miss the time when everyone was just able to be cringe ngl
  • @HiHeyHelloo0
Damn I miss the old animation community 😭

*flashbacks to drawing stick figure comics of Animation Memes on some notebook paper I found in 5th grade intentifies*
  • This gives me the urge to make a ton of old animation memes that I have always wanted too but was too young
  • I remember obsessing over these to the point where I would sing them over and over and over again. ESPECIALLY THE FNAF ONES-πŸ’€πŸ’€
  • This was like everything I would watch in 2016- Man I haven’t watched these in forever-
  • @GalaxyDaWerido
I remember the community, it was "edgy" and "dark" and half of the time the OCs were corrupted but i miss it so much.
  • Between around 2015 ish to 2019 ish was peak animation meme community, at least for me. It just had some of the most iconic animation creators and memes and I have really fond memories of watching these videos. But then again nostalgia is definitely playing a part in this feeling because I was between the ages of ~8-12 during that time, and hell some of these animators got me into drawing which I think is the best thing this community has brought. Bringing new artists/animators to start exploring this medium. It certainly hasn’t always been perfect in this community, but these videos I will continue to look back on fondly

This literially got me crying . I remember watching those years ago, when I couldn't animate yet.
  • @Tipsy_Turby
If my parents were wondering, this is probably the synopsis of what I was watching as a small child, (we just need to include some MLP gore and we're set.)

Scootaloo loves sans was like- my whole Animation phase- thats all I watched.
  • @OrigamiPeli
Damn, the nostalgia hits hard with this one. The old community was quite strange, but I still miss it.

I remember burnt rice being the very first meme that I watched. Followed by mine etc etc. There were such good times, Scotch, Yeager, Rosalie, Stariaat, Sir fluff, Mystery kinq, apselene, wolfychu, seelmaru and other animators. (The list is too long and I'm not sure if they still go by those names anymore) It literally went through many phases, the head bobbing, follow the original animation meme to Pkrussel's criticism to animators wanting to evolve more. I wonder what's been up lately, I'm in the dark about why most animators are inactive.

2:58 God, I don't know how I watched this with a straight face when I was little πŸ˜ƒ
  • @alevinsia
I love how no one ever questioned how Scootaloolovessans literally made a character from a tv show into her own fursona
  • @InkyBlinkey
Even though some of us look back on it and cringe, I look back on it as an interesting time to have been a bit younger while on the internet. I always remember making up animation memes in my head and like ideas for them since I never had my own computer or animation program and I didn't have any social media to put it on. I still do miss this era at times and I'm glad that this community is still around. Even if it isn't as popular as it was before :')
