Thanks for sharing! I really liked your first one. Iāve always just cut the front off and placed on a new card base.

I had a bit of a hiccup with a Fatherās Day card for my partnerās Dad. I used separate stamps to make up āHappy Fatherās Dayā inside the card. I usually use a stamping platform, but got a bit cocky and used an acrylic block. Did a practice stamp and it all came out beautifully. Unfortunately, it wasnāt until after Iād stamped in the card that I realised it said āHappy Day Fatherāsā š I msged my crafty sil and she said he probably wouldnāt notice, and if he did we could say it was a dementia test! He hasnāt said anything, soš¤·āāļø

These are great tips, thank you. I always say that half the embellishments on my cards are just to cover up mistakes! š But they end up turning out even better with my happy accidents.

Great tips! Thank you. Another thing I do to get the little peices of paper out of my cutting plates, is to use a lint roller, or a strong peice of packing tape, and it pulls the 'paper dust' right out. š Have a Blessed Day

Hi, what stampimg platform is that?

Hi Lou, Iām having very disappointing results with my colouring efforts. Iām finding Versafine Clair to be lack lustre, getting better results with Memento but it depends on the stamp. My distress inks & oxides appear dried out on purchase. Iāve bought them from several places. Watercolour pencils & regular colouring pencils are not much better. I wonder if it is the paper, I bought it from Craftstash 230gsm cardstock, it feels good quality but it doesnāt tolerate much colouring. Getting a bit fed up as I did go a bit mad buying stamps & dies as a beginner card maker. š

Great hints. Even though Iāve been stamping for years I never knew about how to shake the sprays - such an important hint. Thanks!

What about tips regarding stamps that lose their āstickā?

Thanks for sharing. LOU, Do you have any tips for wow sticky embossing powder and foils. I bought these from Craftstash as I canāt afford a whole foiling system but I just canāt get good results. I just wanted to do foiled sentiments. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. X

Thank you so much, especially for the stamp pads. I often wondered what the difference was between some of them, and I found all your tips very useful thanks again!!!

Inks! I didn't understand this, can't get inks at all, and haven't here either! I understand we need to use opposite media to avoid smudges and runs, so water-based with alcohol and vice versa? Aren't three of the inks you used (pigment Versafine Clair, Memento, and Distress) water-based though? Fine for alcohol markers, but what about water-colouring? Did you mention anything that can be used with water-colours, without having to wait for it to dry completely?
-
So do I stay understand this correctly if using water coloring, it is best to stamp with either versa Claire pigment Inc. or stays on? And if using alcohol markers, it is best to use a dye ink?

Thank you

Thank you so much for all the tips. All the issues were familiar to me. The one I really appreciate is the one about the bits of paper on the cutting plates. They have marred my cards sometimes. I will try your ideas for cleaning my plates. I do not want to buy new ones.

Very good thank you
