If I say I have a budget of 10k don't show me dresses above that. It should be 10k, full stop. If they asked me "hey, do we have a little wiggle room on the price?" I may change my mind. But when there's no communication on the prices, and they show me things I feel I can't afford, would be upsetting to me.

Who spends that kind of money on a dress that’s only going to be worn once? I’m what is considered very well off financially and the price of these dresses are ridiculous. Now if it could be worn to more than one function then it might be a good investment but otherwise forget it. A wedding is just one day.

My whole wedding was 6k, my dress was $400. 😊 now it was planned in ‘87, I was married in spring of ‘88, glad I have a son.

I hated my daughter's prom dress. She absolutely adored it! I kept my mouth shut, and she still absolutely and happily adores it. That makes me happy. IDC about a dress.
