A NOTE ABOUT ST MARK'S BELL TOWER: The collapse was in 1902 and not 902 and reconstruction finished in 1912. One Thousand years after the original tower went up in St. Mark's Square. We appreciate those who pointed out the typo. Thanks for your understanding.

I'm going Venice in 2024 and your video is one the best travel videos.

A few years ago I spent 4 days there on our trip to Italy. Everyone told me how insane we were, how crowded it was, how touristy it was - they couldnt have been more wrong. It takes half an ounce of effort to find quiet spots in the city and I always say its like vacationing on a movie set, its that beautiful. Going back next year and taking 5 days this time around
  • I was lucky enough to go twice in two months. A lovely friend has an apartment on Guidecca right on the canal The first visit I had a weekly travel pass and it was pure heaven The next trip I had a pass again and used the vaparettos to go all over even out to the Lido People say it's too busy - that's like saying it's too beautiful I saw my visits again in your video Thank you - it was excellent One thing I'd add - go up the tower at San Giorgio for quite the most spectacular wide view of Venice It's better and cheaper than the Campanile

I like this tour guide...! Dying to go to Venice and then to Murano to look and maybe buy some glass.

We found it was so much more worth it to walk around Venice instead of using the water taxis. Venice is easy to get around and not very big, plus you get to see so many sights just by walking to your destination!
  • This is so comprehensive! I fell in love with Venice this year and would love to go back and see even more. It is definitely magical in the morning without the crowds there.
