Musically, The Hollies were one of the greatest bands during an era of great bands. Superb instrumentalists all, with some of the most irresistible material ever committed to vinyl. Allan Clarke was one of the finest frontmen in any era. Due in part to ongoing medical problems with his vocal cords, Clarke retired from the music industry in 1999 to care for his wife, who had received a second diagnosis of cancer. His place in musical history is assured.

A true masterpiece by the hollies. 'Brother' stands alone and belongs in the 'hall.' Anytime a song 'turns you inside out', and takes you on a journey that's impossible to explain, it's worthy of high praise and accolades enjoyed by a select few singers. . The hollies and their lead singer do an excellent job and leave me grateful they recorded this masterpiece. Thank you, excellent job! I must go now and compose myself. Thanks for the unforgettable journey! You are to be commended, very few singers have this capability. Bravo!

Absolutely beautiful song. There Harmonies are incomparable to the Bands of the time with the exception of the Bee Gees nobody could do it like the Hollies! Absolute Legends!

I loved the Holles as a teen when they first appeared and this song always touched me. As an adult, I continue to love the song - maybe on a deeper level now. All members of the Hollies were terrific- Allen Clark was fabulous - so underrated! Allen and Tom Jones together ... WOW! They sounded great ... two singers with voices that were always "spot on"! Great memories of growing up hearing this on the radio, the hollies one of the great bands of the 60's and early 70's sends me on a nostalgia trip in time.
