The inherent problem with the design of the Death Angels is that if their hearing is that acute, they could hear your heartbeat. No amount of holding your breath or walking on sand will stop your heartbeat from thump-thumping away.

I personally feel that the Death Angels are prey, definitely not the top of the food chain. They arent showing eating their kills, have protective armour and are reactive to sound. I feel like there is something else bigger and badder than them from their home planet, which is terrifying to think that these guys are prey for something else.
  • Quiet place: a creak of a floor board will bring a monster running. Also a quiet place: we can farm corn!

My wife farted in the theater watching the latest movie. She looked at me and said "sorry" with huge embarrassment. I looked at her and said "No shit, you just killed us both". lmao
  • While I do appreciate John Krasinski hiring an actual deaf actress to play the daughter, and having the story kinda play with the idea that "Hey! This family knows sign language! They can all quickly and quietly communicate with each other" all makes sense for the plot. My only issue is that a deaf person would've been toast within the first 12 hours. Not only could they not hear if danger is approaching. Deaf people have NO IDEA how loud they are being. Neighborhood buddy of mine growing up had deaf parents, BOTH parents. Dinner at their place was nuts. Slurping and scarfing, making all kinds of racket. The little girl would've been a goner for sure.
  • Frodo was played by 2 cats, one named "Schnitzel", and the other named "Nico."

A Quiet Place is about family and survival A Quiet Place Part Two is about community and living A Quiet Place Day One is about friendship and death (and Frodo) I really enjoyed Day One. I thought the idea of navigating the apocalypse whilst dying is quite unique. Like, what do we choose to value in our final moments? For Lupita Nyong'o's character, it's pizza and jazz music, a memory of her father. Ironically, she is more free amidst the chaos of monsters than she was in hospice. Instead of wasting away amongst strangers in a bed, she dies boldly blaring her music, in the middle of an intersection. Just beautiful.
  • I love how in post apocalyptic movies that, even though society has utterly collapsed, the magazine industry can still pump out articles on the end of the world.

Waste of opportunity not to have a scene where a burst of ill-timed flatulence leads to an untimely demise.

Did no one else notice in day one when eric was retrieving the cat and there was a freaking HUGE death angel? The DA's are huge but this was was at his level even after climbing the steel beams. It also looked thicker and spikier. I haven't seen any other channels point that out.
  • My theory is those aliens are not advanced at all but merely a biological weapon for the real advance aliens to invade the Earth

I was SO happy when the cat lived right through to the end of Day 1. I immediately said “If the cat dies I’m leaving” when I got to the theatre
  • @slaygaming4770
I watched it in theaters and it was so good and it super loud as well when the death Angels showed up but the sound design is super satisfying in the rain scene I actually thought it was raining outside my theater
  • @qurtmancini5539
Another point, this damn cat is incredibly quiet in all these dangerous situations FOR A DAMN CAT!!
  • @reelalexdagoat
Like each time the cat was present they survived a impossible situation to the point where if I saw the cat I knew nothing would happen to them 😂
  • i would really love A Quiet Place spinoff from the perspective of the Military trying to handle the situation.
  • @JustinsGarage
You’re telling me no one noticed their sensitivity to feedback and used it? Armies equipped with feedback microphones and guns would obliterate the death angels.
