there is something so satisfying about watching someone listen to something you've heard thousands of times. makes you feel like ur listening to it for the first time all over again in a way im obsessed with this series. it's also cool his dad clearly has a musical background

Strokes inspired The Killers, Kings of Leon, The Editors, Arctic Monkeys and a lot of other stuff, they're fully alive and creating new things now but you can't never forget how long they've been around.

it's funny he compared them to The Killers. When The Strokes first released "Is This It?", Brandon Flowers of the Killers heard it, scrapped their debut and rewrote it because he was so inspired by them.

My favorite thing about The Strokes is how their 2 guitars sound like they are fighting with each other but the fight is choreographed so that it sounds like a beautiful dance and you can hear this on all of their albums. Like sometimes the guitars sound like opposing forces but other times they work together and both variations work so well

Why Are Sundays So Depressing? Is one of those songs that just gets better as it goes on and it sounds just as fresh as it did the first time I heard it. The outro might just be the best music I’ve ever heard in my life, it’s just the most catchy, perfect melody and instrumentation imaginable. Whole album is a home run for The Strokes though, they really came back with a purpose on this record
