Goldilocks, a curious girl, finds an empty house in the forest. Inside, she tastes three bowls of porridge, sits in three chairs, and tries three beds, finding only the third of each "just right." She falls asleep in the smallest bed. The house belongs to three bears who return home, find signs of her intrusion, and wake her up. Startled, Goldilocks runs away and never returns.
