  • Fun fact- Reebok is owned by adidas after 2004. Adidas and Puma founders are brothers Adolf Dassler and Rudolf dassler. At first Nike were rebranded shoes imported from japan.

Adidas and Puma have better online shopping websites than Nike in India. The user experience and discounts provided online are better than offline stores. This is another important factor which led to customer base shift.

In India, most Value for Money product wins. It won't take much time for Decathlon's Kalenji shoes & Asics shoes to catch even Puma

I suppose the main advantage with Puma is its pricing... But still let's wait what Ganesh Sir has for us today.

When u sign 7th most famous athlete in world (as per ESPN)KOHLI as brand ambassador U sure as hell gonna earn revenue
  • As a person who has used Nike, Puma, Adidas, I would say that nothing beats the quality and comfort of Nike. Puma just has the price advantage in Indian market which is very crucial for price sensitive markets like India.

Also, Puma does smart product placement... their colourful shoes in cricket matches is eye catching

How beautifully he always explains! Thank you for the knowledge and wisdom you share with us! ❤️
  • I remember reading from the book shoemaker that Rebook strategy to enter US was to focus on tennis shoes and women shoes with different styles and colors because they couldn't find the opening with sports or other categories and it worked wonders for them. Seems similar strategy when they pushed for Indian market.

Classic case study...I had goosebumps when Virat Kohli as perfect ambassador portion was introduced. Please make one case Study on Tech Brands like Apple, How it is dominating the market even after very high prices of their products. 🔥
  • @arvinderbali
Brother hats off🙌, how you make such brilliant spot on case studies yet not so lengthy, makes me admire more.
  • @007_Sun_Tzu
Makes me feel old and outdated when I know the ad featuring Dhoni n Yuvi for Reebok but not the one with KL and one with Kohli for Puma
  • @avighnann
hi sir, thank you for explaining this topic. Puma has really did well in India, their pricing was not as high as Adidas and Nike and there was much variety than both too.Ambassadors like Virat, Sunil Chhetri and Mary Kom also impacted their growth.
