I've been riding since I was 17. I'm 49 now. I have no problem with MC's, Groups, Organizations, etc, but it's not my thing. When I go ride, occasionally I'll ride with friends, but I like to ride alone. It's my throttle therapy time. I know how to ride in formation, but I also enjoy gliding across the road and cutting around it like it's butter. I don't do stupid stunts or anything, I just enjoy my space. I give the wave to anything on 2 or 3 wheels. You don't have to be a fellow Harley rider. I'll wave at foreign sports bikes, dirt bikes, mopeds, hell even people on bicycles because they may be a future motorcycle owner. My only problem is with anyone who looks down on someone else because they think they are better than them for one reason or another. You don't know anyone else's life or circumstance. You don't know their pain or the different trials and hells they've survived. If you think you are too good to talk to someone because they aren't in a club or they haven't earned the "status" you have, you really need to check your pride. I believe respect is earned individually between each person you encounter. I offer the same amount of starter respect to everyone, general human decency. Above and beyond that, gonna have to be earned. On the subject of wearing a cut when you aren't in a club, I don't wear one. I wear a jacket when the weather calls for it, otherwise just my shirt. I have a jacket that the sleeves zip out of, but it's just a plain jacket, no patches. I've been given patches, I just don't ever do anything with them. Just shove them in a drawer back home. I also don't go out of my way to try to irritate anyone. So if I went to an event and there was a 1% club there, I wouldn't be intentionally trying to push anyone's buttons. After watching videos like these my main concern would be if I did something unintentionally out of ignorance for club culture and someone got in my face over it. It's never happened to me, but I see videos where thing have happened and wonder how I would react in that situation. I don't really want to find out, but I would hope clubs would at least try to be understanding. I don't know man, I'm just the kind of guy who carries around a tire iron in my saddle bags to help a person change a tire on the side of the road if I see a person who needs help. I prefer to be that random nice biker you didn't expect. In the last year I've changed 5 car tires and pushed 3 broke down cars out of the road just because I was on a joy ride and saw that someone needed help.

Whenever I'm asked about being part of an MC or any organized riding group I always quote Groucho Marx..."I won't be part of any organization that would have me as a member"

I just started riding on the road in the last couple of years but I put 30 years worth of death metal patches on a jacket, not to try and make people think Iā€™m a biker but to use up all these patches and because thatā€™s who I am. Not out to impress anyone, just a metal head that wants to ride.

A few yrs ago my uncle invited me to hang out with him at his club. My uncle told me if anyone ever invited you to a club that you are not part of always bring a gift for the prez. Its a matter of respect, never show up empty handed. I think this would be a topic to touch on. What do to and not do if you are ever invited to attend a family members club house.

I walked up to an SAA in front of a bathroom with his arms crossed. Stood next to him and crossed my arms. He told me to leave and I said, "why this is the line for the bathroom right?" And he laughed and shook my hand

Love his stuff. He's loves his bike, club and life style, and we love him for that. However he also understands and embraces both sides of an argument. Making points for both sides, no bias. This is a man worth respect. Like motorcycling with a Buddhist twist.
  • When I ride, itā€™s two fingers down to every person on two wheels. Even someone on a scooter, weā€™re all on two wheels to have fun and be safe. Iā€™m 42 and Iā€™ve been riding since I was 6 years old. Respect to everyone on a bike, and watch out for each other against dumbass car drivers

I used to run lights for the house band at a MC/Biker bar in TX, they had 2 rules. No cuts, and no weapons. Wait rule #3, don't fuck with the band. This place was sacred ground where any MC could go to and have a good time. The only time I saw shit go south was a dude we all knew had too much nose candy and started shit. Owner called the cops (yeah, it was understood the law could come in); dude would not leave, and they started scrapping. Dude had an artificial leg and the cops ended up pulling it off and beating him with it just so they could cuff him. One of the funnies things I ever saw being associated with MCs.

I retired US Navy 20 years. Served on 4 Submarines. It took me almost 1 year to earn my Dolphins. Submarine Qualification. I hate it when I see some Yahoo wearing a Military Hat of any branch that never served. When questioned They say "I bought it at the gas station or Flea Market." So why are you profiling as thou you served? šŸ˜®šŸ˜ÆšŸ˜²

im not even a rider but when greeted by co workers i always take off my gloves.. nobody ever taught me, i just always thought it was a sign of respect.. big on respect

I have never watched Sons of Anarchy or any show about Clubs. Iā€™m not a biker culture expert so I keep my mouth shut and my eyes open.
  • @sgt.grinch3299
Iā€™m a solo rider and I give them I give clubs their own space. Respect must go both ways.
  • @xJRxinated
I'm a sport bike rider. Most club guys are super chill and will give you a wave or a heads up. It's the cos play for dad's "bikers" who put on there "tough guy" outfit on the weekends and think they are outlaws who are dicks. I think we all universally hate those dudes.
  • Iā€™ve run into club members here and there. I give them there space and I respect there space and never had an issue. Love your channel
  • @micktrinus
The way I try to live my life is to not intentionally disrespect anyone, but at the same time, I will not follow asinine rules of a group or lifestyle that I am not a part of. Then again, I don't hang out in bars or clubs anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue.
  • Many years ago, i got stuck behind a MC...i was on a honda 350...i hated going 45 mph, but I think they were just having fun with me! After a while, they all zoomed off!
  • @thelordbart
I want to say thank you for your videos. I am mostly an ADV rider. Lots of off road on my big BMW. One day (about a week ago) hour E of Albuquerque on I40 a whole bunch of Mongols (patched) rolled up, a dude (I assume a Jr member) crowds me out, at first I'm WTF?, then I see their patches, remember YOUR vids, and think "no sweat" and follow the "navigational cues", they eventually roar past (about 30 or so), and the guy "guiding me" gave me a wave and took off after. So, me, a dirty ADV guy on a euro fart machine (yeah I know what the Boxster sounds like heh)... THANK YOU, your vid gave me info I never woulda had otherwise and let me know the score before the event even happened on the road. All was and is good :)

Sons of Anarchy is not the topic to talk about... hahaha...That was hilarious
