These are the four youngest looking 70 year olds I've ever seen.

i love how the kiszka twins go back and forth with their answers. its like they are wired together in a certain way.
  • I think it is so cool that most of the albums in your bag are are not hard rock albums but more of music that represents the broad spectrum of many different types of music.

Melanie, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Fairport Convention, Hendrix?!?!? Thought I couldn’t love these guys any more than I already did but here we are😭

These youngins have great taste and obviously grew up in houses with great music. 😊
  • @PadawanIan
just saw them live in Nashville they were on fucking fire especially Jake best concert i’ve ever been to
  • Now I know why this 76 year old woman likes this group. I graduated in 1965 so these inspirational selections go along with my teen years. I will be seeing this group in Philly on September 19th. I am so sorry I got rid of all my hippie clothes but it is only now that I am embracing that feel that makes you feel alive. I was too timid in my teens to experience Woodstock so I am making up for it now.

This sure took me back to the 60s and 70s when I grew up! This is why Greta Van Fleet felt like going home again, and their new music still does! I love their deep intelligence and appreciation for the music itself.

Loved the Melanie acknowledgment.. such a unique voice and does not get enough of the credit she deserves

Danny's choices were the sound track of my teenage years!
  • I grew up listening to Melanie Safka, it’s one of my middle names (Safka) and also who my mother is named after! Hearing Josh talk about her made me sob I love her so much 💛

Joni Mitchell's Blue is probably more influential than all of the others combined. All great choices, but I'd probably like to hang and listen to Danny's collection the most.

Thank you for reminding me about Carol King Tapestry. As a kid I used to see this album on my Mom’s shelf not knowing what it was. That image instantly took me back to early childhood. :)

Yes, he just mentioned Taj Mahol... Blessed you guys. Your parents are to be commended giving you a well rounded musical background. Tapestry was one of my favorite albums. You all have beautiful old souls. I will be spending my birthday tomorrow hearing you guys live at Dickies Arena. I can hardly wait. I work at Dickies, but had to be able to watch you & not work. 🎉 Melanie is great, too.

Thanks for educating a young fanbase on the blues and folk music. Nice dudes.

For those who don't know, "The Weight of Dreams" used to be called "Black Flag Exposition" which instead of using Fleet's original lyrics, Josh used a segment from "Lay Down (Candles In The Rain)" by Melanie Safka. It's safe to say Melanie is definitely an inspiration for Josh as a whole

Found this band a few days ago on my bday, now on my bucket list to see live.. amazing guys
  • @brucefreifeld4763
65 yr old fan here-loved the choices guys-and discovered several new albums to check out-thanks for the great picks! 😀
  • Josh saying that Fairport Convention are probably his favourite band has made my day. What a dude!
  • @dylancole1910
Recognized some of these, and some I didn’t. You guys definitely turned me on to some pretty amazing artists. I can definitely hear the influence in all of these in your current music and vocal styles. It’s interesting that I didn’t make the Kate Bush connection to you, Josh until you brought her up. Now I’m going to think about that every time I listen to her from this day forward. Very fun video guys. Really hope you do this again in the future. Love hearing about the bands that helped shape my favorite band. 😄
