Consider this a sequel to the "Drawing like a Painter" video I made years ago.

In this video, I go over the main brush I currently use in Corel Painter and also discuss the main ideas I try to keep in mind when digital painting.

If you want to try Corel Painter, here is a link to more info: store.corel.com/1103/cookie?affiliate=41673&redire…

If you want to further support these videos. Feel free to contribute at: www.patreon.com/sinix

Don't worry if you can't contribute. The videos will always keep coming regardless. Just keep watching and hopefully enjoying.

  • Is it just me, or does he always sound like he's grinning? Like he's thinking about a joke and he could just giggle/chuckle any second.
  • The way you speak makes it sound like you know a very embarrassing secret about me and are trying not to laugh at it as you talk to me. WHAT DO YOU KNOW, SINIX.

Sinix, I just want you to know that for me this is the art equivalent of a big, healthy, nutritious but also delicious meal. And it also makes me want to cook.

"just squint, and don't look back"
  • This was amazing. I leveled up my digital painting skills after seeing this. (You can do this type of strokes in photoshop with a "mixer brush", found in the toolbar under the same button as the regular brush and pencil tools)

you're usage of the contrasting pinks/reds and blues creates such a cool saturation in the character and and such dynamic, and it's so much more impressive than the basic Grey's and flesh tones. thank you for such an awesome video !!!

Kinda late here, but I stumbled upon this video ever since I've subscribed to your channel, and I honestly love your painting process. Even the fun parts of messing around with the colours & proportions! I learnt a lot from your videos & it's always been helpful for me in my art journey. So, thank you! :)

hey everyone! as a fellow ibis paint x user i thought to help you guys with what brushes i use to get this sculptor effect on ibis paint 1) you need a fade brush( i personally use the watercolur pencil brush) 2) the smudge tool procedure- you basically after drawing the strokes with the fade brush(watercolour pencil), switch between the smudge tool to blend the colours. hope this helped🤗

I really enjoy painting like that more and more. No pre drawing, just sculpting over big chunks of colors. Thanks so much for all your videos, they are super helpful!

Damn, your tutorials really stick me on the screen till the very last second! Your way to carve out details, shapes, surfaces, hues and lighting is kinda fascinating to me. Definitely the way I'd love to pursue to bring my style to the next level and make it through way faster without wasting much time on details, especially when they're not needed. Great job Sinix, keep it on!
