The counteroffensive is not a video game. Slow and steady and probing attacks will eventually led up to a major counteroffensive.

Something that constantly befuddles is the seemingly small radius of effect of howitzer rounds. From a drone POV you'll see invaders hit the deck when they hear the incoming, the round detonating 40 ft away, and the targets getting up and running for cover. A combat veteran who served as a Forward Observer told me of the incredible accuracy of naval guns firing from 20 miles out in open sea; "I dropped a round in the (enemy's) back pocket.......". While we can't actually see the shrapnel and its radius of casualty, I'd think that the shock effect of the detonation alone would stun a target enough to render him useless or at least deaf.
  • We must support the Ukrainians defending their sovereignty! America is with you! 200 years ago we fought off the larger British Empire 😮

Good grief. Asked and answered. The reason the Ukrainians haven't achieved the battlefield success foreordained by those who don't know much about warfare is that a hastily cobbled together army of citizen-soldiers is assaulting fortified positions, including mine fields, with no forward stationed missile defense; because those devices have been pinned by Russia to urban centers to keep Russia from sending non-guided missiles into pizza parlors where little girls are having birthday parties. The West has not sent attack helicopters or F-16's, to keep artillery at bay, and mine sweepers or river crossing equipment has not arrived in proper numbers. Of course the Russians constructed their Maginot Line unobstructed, because of no Ukrainian jets or helicopters, and the Russian army is so mighty. Well that was media narrative for 20 years, until it wasn't. Russia is also 3 times larger than Ukraine. Jeeeezzz. That is all.

What a waste of weapons. Anyway, they're old and the US needed to get rid of them. Ukraine was the obvious choice to serve the interests of the American military industrial complex.

The military-industrial complex thanks Ukraine for keeping them in business.

This is an outstander costly counter offensive that cannot be hold no more. NATO knows and speaks about long assistance...
