Nuno Bettencourt Stops by the Studio!

You two should really consider doing a podcast together. Tons of knowledge, and fun to listen to. Maybe when Nuno stops touring, if that ever happens.

Rick! We were the “old people” (your age) who approached Nuno at the VIP “Sound Check Experience” at Hard Rock Sacramento. We told him that we “discovered” Extreme for the first time through your amazing interview (yes, really!) We are long time subscribers to your channel, but I told Nuno that he was the best interview - ever! I also told him that we now have all of their albums & love their music. He told all the other guys right there in front of us, “They found us through Beato!” They seemed very pleased to hear this. All of the guys were very kind, humble, and gracious with all the fans there. They played a great show & they were definitely “all in”. We were so excited to see this latest interview. Nuno told us that you were a genuinely nice guy - and that you “tricked” him into playing at the first interview! Rock on, Nuno- you are the greatest! THANK YOU RICK for everything that you do.❤

We seriously need a video series called “Nuno and Rick react to tunes they love” just you guys playing bits of tunes and reacting. Watching you guys on this is so much fun… like a combination of Bill and Ted, Wayne and Garth, and Beavis and Butthead.. this is easily one of the best videos you’ve ever made. It’s loose and focused all at once.

A Beato/Nuno podcast would be epic. 30 minutes a week, recorded remotely from wherever you each are in the world. That would probably be a record breaking music podcast, honestly.

Hope this isn't offensive but I told my wife that your channel Rick Beato is like Graham Norton for myself. It's a fantastic channel that privileges it's esoteric audience with a distanced physicality as if you've just had an encounter with one of your idles first hand. Like playing a support gig before one of the bands you're enamoured with and the guitarist comes over to chew the fat with you. I've had those experiences but your channel is sharing this with a new or old aspiring musician. It's an amazing privilege and so encouraging to see where you've taken your YouTube channel. What a treasure you are Rick.

What I think makes Mr. Bettencourt so endearing to us fans is that not only does he have NO PROBLEM giving Edward Van Halen proper due as a massive inspiration, friend and to keep his name alive, but he also makes no apologies to anyone for it either. Since 1978 when all of us walked around with that "wtf is THAT??!!" look on our dumbfounded faces from the debut Van Halen album coming out, Nuno never wants any of us.... or even himself.... to ever forget that "wtf is THAT??!!" feeling. The Van Halen invasion is a time-stamp in my life too and one that also wishes it could have continued on a little longer. Thank you Nuno for being, well, Nuno, thank you Nuno for being very human, and thank you Nuno for playing YOUR ass off in your own "wtf is THAT??!!!" inspirational right too. I know I speak for many, but last, thank you King Edward for making our ears bleed and smoke with your ferocious, jaw-dropping and magnificent gifts for all of us to enjoy-- especially turned up to Spinal Tap 11. You are sorely missed and that is another "wtf?" moment time-stamped in my life too. May King Edward shred in peace.

With all due respect to everyone Rick has interviewed, is anyone as passionate as Nuno is? I could listen to he and Rick talk music all day long!

I wish you would ask everyone about their hearing. HOW could you play loud for 38 years and not have ringing or hearing loss? Nuno best interview....the guy gets it and is SO real for a rockstar. He NAILED the drum talk...spot on.
