The way Roger read the game, the touch, the volleys... the greatest genius in tennis history

I remember watching this tournament and Fed winning the championship. I never imagined at the time that it would be his last grass court title. 🥺 Thank you for this, Raz!

Look at how Roger moved around the balls and the angles he generated in every attacking shot. Incredibly beautiful playstyle.
  • Last grass court title was in 2003 (first of his career). Since 2004 grass changed in green clay and it began the "London Garros". As pointed out by Roger himself who for 15 years has complained about new very slow surfaces, in particular the grass...the end of Serve & Volley, the end of Wimbledon what a sadness...

People who don’t play tennis have no idea how hard it is to play on grass. The way Roger moves so effortlessly on it is so beautiful to watch. Why he’ll always be GOAT to me and the king of grass

We all know this was his last grass title but we also all know he deserved to win Wimbledon that year too.
  • I am very fortunate and grateful to have watched the tournament from quarter finals. Thanks Roger for all you have done for the sport

Nothing suits you better than a grass court. I miss you, Roger...😢
  • Now seeing players like rafa and novak struggling at 36, roger was 1 point away from winning a GS title at almost 38 where he faced 2 players in 2 consecutive matches who had a total of 30 GS titles...this is what u call the true greatness..Roger should ideally be the strong era player and novak should be the weakest era player..this one example proves it
  • Pure class by Roger. It's sad that a champion like him, the best ever together with Nole, never won anything again in 2020 and 2021. Perhaps Djoker's end also came in 2024. Time takes everything...
