I been waiting 15 years for this, and it's better than I expected

Prav did not explain an amazing ability this game has: When you select a control group (fleet), there is a ship construction tab at the bottom. You can order ships to be constructed from there, and then, they will automatically fly to that group AND automatically add themselves to that group. This gets rid of 80% of the roping and selecting usual in RTS games.
  • Hell yeah. I used to play Sins of a Solar Empire all the time. Super excited to see what the second game has going for it.

The planet orbit thing is very cool. Lots of strategic options and surprises with that mechanic alone

Glad to see Sins on the channel, and the wonderful progress towards the games release. I can hardly wait til then.

Seems like the heart of Sins is still there. More Updated UI is the most important thing for me. The moving systems are interesting, but don´t know if I like it yet. But all in all, I do like what I see here, a little bit streamlined it seems, but in the case of Sins that´s a good thing^^ My only hope is that non capital ships are a bit cheaper. It often felt like a waste of money to buy non capital ships (except colony ships) as long as you can build more capitals

They are bringing the Loyal-Rebel thing back too? I can't wait for this, also can't wait to see Advent in all it's glory, I liked the Vasari rework a lot. Also I noticed the supplies-upkeep is gone, and the pirate raids as well, or at least not implemented yet. I wonder if they plan to bring them back in some form, pirates especially.

I hope to see a Sins of the Prophets remake for this

Can't wait to get my hands on the Advent, huge favourite :D

God, hearing the Sins theme sends me back.

I played the original Sins and its expansion, and it did not have the feature of the system changing in real time. This new entry will definitely be added to my wishlist.

For some reason, even though I love playing Stellaris, this game never really clicked with me. I distinctly remember fighting the Advent and losing every time despite having a bigger fleet. For some reason, their capital ships were healing faster than I could damage them.

Nice, Cool to see the next one coming

OG sins had the star trek armada 3 mod and that is the only mode Ive ever played lol

Pravus, could you do a test match on a custom map with something like 200 planets in it? My friends and I used to play Sins Rebellion on maps of that scale as it was much more fun and tactical. The problem always became lag, where 1 second in game was around 30 seconds of real time. It was still enjoyable to do, just took a long time. I would really like to hear if the engine has been improved enough in multithreading to better handle massive maps like that, or if we have actually had a regression and can no longer even generate maps so large :( While we do have better use of more cores, we also have a lot more simulations going on now with individual missiles being tracked and simulated, so the load is far higher than before.

I bought the original 4 times. Once on CD, once from the stardock store, once from stream, and once again the CD because I lost the first time
