Interesting side note concerning the US military's experiments with MDMA. Their trials concluded that subjects became too empathetic, too passive, and far more willing to engage with an adversary on non-adversarial terms, thus the chemical had "limited to no tactical value."

No camera phones. No social media. Just avin' it. I raved for around 15 years with no photographic evidence (thank fck)😂

I'm a proud 90s Raver and don't regret it at all. It was the best time I will ever have.

It's hard to describe the feeling to someone who's never done it, but dancing at a rave while fueled with X was an amazing feeling
  • I remember going to one rave in the 90s. that ended up with about 600 of us baracaded into a warehouse while the cops tried to break down the VERY heavily baracaded doors. Took em an hour to get in and then things went fucking haywire. Brilliant night, managed to even escape before getting arrests lol

E makes you love each other and Alcohol makes you fight. No wonder E is illegal.
  • If you didn’t experience it directly, the late 80’s early to mid nineties was amazing. Getting garried up, dancing like a tit, hugging everyone around you and just being with 100’s of people with no trouble. No showing off, no pretentiousness just good vibes, amazing tunes and a lot of come downs. Partying will never be the same as long as people care more about how they look, over having an amazing time whilst out of your tree. Garries will never be the same again

A drug researcher who attended raves says the police would turn up and ignore the drunks who were fighting and arrest the people on drugs who were hugging

Something id like to add. Illegal freeparties still happen every weekend, southwest UK especially from my experience. It’s come full circle as you mentioned and is most definitely on the rise once again!
  • Ecstasy = ❤️. Thank you ecstasy for all the awesome experiences you have given me.

great vid and thank you for being 1 of the few who knows when it really started, I'm 51 and people refuse to believe me when I say 80s. Here in Australia, they call raves a doof, they hold them in middle of the bush to this day, only it's mostly ket they use. Human Traffic is my all time favourite doco (lol), it was so on point as a movie portraying the scene and the story was a banger too
  • Let's ask the Miners about how Thancherism "worked for a bit". Also great video. I love your culture videos. I think the bosuzoku would make another great video.
  • @GimmeDopamine
