Thank you for mentioning Dragon Ball awareness month 🎉😂 Seriously though, this community is such a massive part of my life and identity. 17 years ago when I picked up manga, I had no friends to talk to about it. A few years ago I found mangatube/mangagram and now spend everyday talking with manga lovers all over the world. I also met my soulmate so it was literally the best thing that ever happened to me. My content is just for fun and if I bring enjoyment to even one other person then that’s enough for me ❤

This is a great video! I totally agree that mangatube has really strong potential to become even more creative and interesting. It’s still a pretty “new” community on YouTube (before 2020 it was so small that I don’t think we even called it mangatube) and so there’s absolutely plenty of room for new ideas as long as people are willing to try to branch out. I personally have been making YT videos about books/manga for almost 10 years and I’m having way more fun with it now than ever before.

What a fab video. I've been watching booktube for years and finally started my own channel about three years ago. Over time, as I started getting more into manga, it's become a kind of merge between books and manga. I only really started getting into manga specific content this year and I've found so many amazing recs and some brilliant channels. Your channel is definitely one of my faves because I really love listening to you just talk about manga in general. Even if it's not a series I'm interested in, I still enjoy hearing your thoughts and that goes double for whenever you talk about the manga community in general!

Since I started my collection 10 years ago, I haven't had irl friends to share my passion with. But its youtubers like yourself that have created a community where I can safely discuss my passion with others. Thank you! Btw; what's your take on Light novels, are there any that you collect in particular? Also, if you are looking for a good death game manga, I would recommend "Gleipnir" now that the 14th and final volume is out (forget the anime adaptation).

I got into manga while in college over ten years ago, and I have loved it ever since. Sadly, I only know a few people who like manga/anime. That is why I love manga and anime-focused YouTubers. It is so nice to watch videos about a series I like (or a video on a series that the video introduced me to), make a comment to share my thoughts, and be able to read and interact with other comments. I love the community aspect of it, being able to see so many different thoughts and opinions on manga/anime series. :) I look forward to your videos every week. It is so fun to share my thoughts on each one and be able to read all of the other comments :)

Fantastic video! I've seen your videos pop up in my recommended section for awhile now but like you said there is so much mangatube content and only so much time in the day so I'm pretty sure this is the first one I watched and glad I did. Great positive message and a lot of stuff hit home with me as someone who started my channel because I didn't have anyone in my life that read manga and I thought it would be fun to share what I read and collect with others. I don't have a single creative bone in my body so I won't be the one to make mangatube more creative but there are lot of you way more creative then I that I look forward to see where this space goes in the future.
  • @ThePromG
LOL I recognize that “mangatube is uninspired and DEAD” comment from somewhere 😅
  • @Josephll64
I definitely feel what you're talking about when you like something, but have nobody to share it with. Always look forwards to your vids.
  • @clampdown1134
This has got to be my favourite video of yours so far. Thank you for sharing your love for the hobby and uplifting positivity for everyone!
  • @ChillNumbskull
Great vid! It's nice to see all the mangatubers be so chill with each other. That's how you know the community is a good one. Also, it would be neat to see a video of you talking about manga spines. Like which ones are your favs or does the spine dictate whether or not you collect a series. Lol I know its random but I don't see many people talking about manga spine art.
  • @Lilpapersthe1
I feel like the manga community is truly starting to Branch out more because literally before I could not find anyone really talking about manga before the pandemic but now you can really find it everywhere.
