That’s our justice system. If they don’t think they will win they won’t pursue. All those people that left those awful voice mails and emails should absolutely be prosecuted. Pathetic.

How is OAN not being held legally responsible for putting someone's private phone number on the screen and actually directing viewers to call it and threaten him?

This makes me so angry. The people making those threats have serious mental issues. They all need to be investigated and face the consequences for their stalking, threats and intimidation. It’s insane and sad.

Listening to the threats that people are leaving to these people. Do they not see how much these people, with no proof mind you, sound so much like the Taliban we fought? Just blows my mind.

The people making these threats need to have real penalties, like prison terms, for this type of behavior.

It's crazy that these people are willing to stalk and harass and threaten and possibly killed over a lie.

Everyone of these people calling and emailing threats should be investigated and tracked down by IT teams. I'd say 80% of them are not even smart enough to try and hide themselves or their locations. Shouldn't be too hard to find them

How terrifying. I hope they are okay. I hope the people who made those threats are caught and prosecuted.

And to think they want America to be a figure of democracy... Talk about freedom. The fear and despair in the eyes of those officials is downright clear

Threatening a person's life is not part of free speech and is against the law. Complaining about how the elections are run or how an elected official voted or not liking a particular law is free speech.

Anger/hatred is the most common reaction to fear.

It’s funny how they take their own parties rhetoric and flipping it as if the opposition party is the one doing that but in all reality it’s them the whole time 🤦🏽‍♂️

When I first ran for a local, unpaid elected position, studying the County Charter for preservation by vote, I walked from house to house and gained signatures in person. Our Commission was successful and we preserved our County Charter by popular vote when most others in Massachusetts were abolished. That was 30 years ago. I would NEVER try that today if I had 2 young and vulnerable kids. Way too dangerous in 2022. However, somebody's gotta keep doing it. Never let the bastards grind you down. HAVE COURAGE!

I hope everyone who is terrified about what is happening to our country is registered to vote

Having been overseas to North Korea, Iraq... It scares me with the percentage of citizens who believe these conspiracies/propaganda in this country. We need serious reform/education in this country especially social media and its role in siloing/objective bias/algorithms.
