You can totally see here how Belushi influenced Chris Farley. That heart attack bit Farley took and ran with for a touchdown.

Belushi was one-of-a-kind; what a comic genius!

I laughed now just like I did when I saw this on the air 46 years ago.

He has been gone 37 years now and would have been 70 years young this past January. Hard to believe. John you were so good and could have gone even farther. Why could you not believe in you? I hope really hope that you are happy where you are. I will never forget you! Funny guys come and go nowadays but there is only one John Belushi!!!!!

It's strange how much humour has changed in 40 years

My father got me the DVDs and said I needed to watch the original SNL in full. So glad he got me those as I binge watched them and laughed my ass off. This was one of the best clips. Belushi going off was hilarious!

SNL should do a family feud sketch where the families would be them impersonating old SNL cast members
  • John was a comedic force of nature-- and the absurdist humor will always be funny.

Thank you SNL. Chevy and John B were one of the greats from that time. RIP. Never forgotten

Why is this still funny to me? Other people don't feel it at all? thank you JB

Bring back the one where Belushi talks about the "Luck of the Irish." THAT one was hysterical.
  • I love Chevy's reaction at the very end. John Belushi was the absolute best!
  • I remember when Saturday evening's was time to party with my friends and waiting for Saturday night live to be on.
  • I always love how, while overall a funny bit, the most hilarious part is where he just vanishes off screen during the heart attack; it's like we'll never know if he's alive or dead (or both, if you want to evoke Schrodinger) behind that desk, and that's where they always leave it. Busts me up every time! 😂
