If that tape doesn't hold up for your prepass, the stuff to look into is 3M Dual Lock fasteners. It's available on the company whose red Volvo tractors put you in danger on a daily basis. That's the stuff that they use to fasten EZ Passes et al on windshields. That stuff is strong and secure.
