The respiratory system is responsible for the exchange of gases between air outside the body and blood inside the body. It begins at the nose and runs to the lungs as branching tubes ending in microscopic alveoli. The lungs are filled with air and emptied by movements of the walls of the thorax and the diaphragm translated onto the lungs by the pleural membranes. Let's have a visual look at this anatomy.

  • Really love your teachings. I'm training as a reflexologist/duopodist and need to understand the A+P really well, I learn even more than when I was a nurse. Thank you so much 🌟 😊
  • Hi Professor Sam. Thank you so much for all your fascinating videos. I’m a retired nurse but it is so long since I trained and practiced that I have gotten really rusty and I am loving going through your videos and reminding myself of the wonders of the human body. Thank you

The glove bottle demonstration was great. I struggle to teach my students the principle at time and was hoping to make a prop....and this is a winner.
