Abandoned City. The Power Is Still ON. Adventure #26

Published 2017-07-31
This was one of the funnest adventures I have ever been on. The city of Kitsault was built in 1979 to house the workers and families of the near by Molybdenum mine. However in 1982 the price of molybdenum plummeted and the city was abandoned in 1983. It has then been bought and is preserved by a small team of caretaker but has mostly sat vacant from the day the last resident left. The city was built to house 1200 residents and offered restaurants, a pool, curling rink, movie theatre, bar, bank, mall, rec hall, school and all of the essentials for a community. I could spend days exploring this unique town but I was pretty limited in time due to the extensive trip just to get to this city. All in all it was an incredible adventure.
