At least 26 million people are struggling for food following consecutive poor rainfall seasons in the Horn of Africa.

Drought conditions in northern Kenya, much of Somalia and southern Ethiopia are predicted to persist until at least mid-2022, putting lives at risk.

The situation is already so bad that wild animals are dying in their hundreds and herders are reporting losses of up to 70% of their livestock.

This really brings tear into eyes... makes us realize how important is water
  • Everyone has invested on defense but we don't take enough steps to protect ourselves and our planet against the natural disasters and natural forces
  • Dear BBC, it would be even more nice of you to provide their donation links in such global critical conditions. People kind enough or cautious enough would react immediately. Hope you would consider this advise hereafter. Thank you.

Very upsetting. We need to do more to look after the environment. It’s not just for us, but it’s for the incredible variety of wildlife we share our world with. David Attenborough is telling us there’s still time, let’s do it now before it’s too late. ❤️
  • As a Maasai from northern Tanzania I can confirm that this year is ending really bad concerning the issue of life stock. And if there'll be no enough rain starting this time till April, then it'll be a disaster for us starting mid-year next year.

This is extremely serious!!! The global temperature keep rising and our politicians seem to be more focused in other things.

Giraffes are actually better than camels at storing and rationing water. If they’re dying of thirst, then you know that this is more than a drought

My brother had 240 Cattle and only 16 left as of today. He was self sufficient before and now I have to support him for food and shelter. Worst drought ever.

Here in the Philippines we haven't had any typhoons in several months now even though there should be an average of around 2 per month also there a La Niña is ongoing which suppose to bring more rain than usual. This lack of rain could lead to drying of dams here next year since they rely heavily on typhoons

It's tragic. On the other hand, floods flow into towns and villages somewhere on the earth, and people and houses are lost.
