  • This is what shook up golf. Most of us are golfing because of this legend.

Kudos to the Augustus GC for taking the bold initiative to make all the previous final rounds available to the general public. What a fantastic way to make the Master's brand even bigger and better as well as to grow the sport. I hope that the organizers of other major tournaments have the foresight and confidence to follow.

After 9 holes in the 1st round, Tiger was +4 for the Tournament. He reached -18 in the Final Round on the 14th hole. He played those 59 holes in between -22. Amazing run

I had the privilege to watch the last round as a kid. Watched the whole thing. Absolutely blew me away. This sport would not be what it is today without Tiger.

2:54:00 - "There it is, a win for the ages" - Jim Nantz. One of the greatest moments in sports history

Not only did Tiger set unheard of records at the Masters in 1997, but he crushed the barriers in the game of golf. From there he blazed a path that my take a couple of generations before it's equaled or surpassed. "There it is, a win for the ages!" Thanks to Augusta National for making this available to the people!!!

What's amazing about Tiger isn't even so much the number of championships he won, but rather how much better he was than the other incredible golfers that he played against. He was truly in a different league during his prime.

I forgot how pleasant it is to watch golf, without having to hear someone yelling "GET IN THE HOLE.!!." after every single shot..
  • That hug between Tiger and Earl right after his winning put... Made me tear up. What a moment!

I was there, earlier in the week, with my dad. I knew as a 14 year old that I was witnessing history and that these memories would last forever. What an incredibly special moment!

Compare the players in 1997 vs 2019. I have to say in 1997 there were plenty of out of shape 30+ year old guys. In 2019 the top players were trim, athletic and they looked like they hit the gym every day. Don't tell me that isn't Tiger's influence.

the Young Tiger was a beast - out driving everyone irons and putting and just savagely destroying golf records. A treat to watch this again after 22 years and compare to what we just witnessed a few weeks ago.

Man, if only I could go back to ‘97 and watch this live again...I remember it like it was yesterday...hard to believe it’s been 20 plus years
  • This is so amazing, that the Masters has released all this rare footage! We’re gonna have a lot of fun watching all of these!!

All golf fans were incredibly lucky to have seen Tiger Wood’s career. There will never be another golfer like him. Greatness emanated from his pores during his prime.

Man his energy and competitiveness was off the charts. So surprised we haven’t gotten anyone like him since with that kind of swag and confidence. So many players are robots today.
  • With a long list of accolades and records that might never be eclipsed, his greatest achievement in golf was in how he changed the trajectory of the sport overnight and influenced generations that come after him to play the most competitive golf the world has seen yet. Truly the greatest of all time

Look at young Tiger..and now 22 years later he is still winning!

Nick Faldo putting a green jacket onto a young Tiger - that was the changing of the guard in golf right there
