Those of us from developed countries live such comfortable lives. We cannot imagine living under the treat of war at our doorsteps.

  • The world's efforts to stem off climate change will suffer because of this conflict. Increased gas and oil production from countries to make up for the boycott of Russian resources, which will keep being produced by the Russians. Rebuilding of cities and villages in a non-sustainable ways by organizations and companies whose main concern will be to get contracts to make money because of the conflict. These are just two issues that will have a major impact on the world's ability to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees.

    War may be "good for business" but it has always been bad for the environment.
