Elizabeth Olsen is always looking fierce as the Scarlet Witch, AKA Wanda Maximoff. That is at least the impression we get seeing her on the big screen in the Marvel movies, but behind the scenes, she isn’t always so calm, cool, and collected. In some of her most intense scenes, the actress made some awkward stumbles, causing more injury to herself than anyone else! One of Olsen’s worst mess-ups on set wound up being enjoyed by the crew and cast on repeat - they even watched the stumble in slow motion!
Olsen has an incredible relationship on and off-screen with her co-star Paul Bettany, but one unfortunate on-set incident led to their very first argument EVER - it even has a name: Snotgate. Bettany was responsible for making her laugh in the middle of multiple scenes. While the two actors are very close - Olsen has been far more used to Bettany as Vision, so when she saw him in the flesh there were some seriously weird vibes. Another co-star Olsen grew close with was her on-screen brother, Aaron Taylor-Johnson. These two could have a lot of fun on set - resulting in multiple messed-up takes.
The Scarlet Witch has a very different experience when it comes to doing stunts. Her hand gestures and choreo are impressive on-screen, but her co-stars have made fun of her plenty of times because of just how wild she looks while doing the actions. One actor even referred to her as “being at a rave.” The actress has even shocked herself with her wildly bendy back.
No matter how many times she fumbled or flubbed, Elizabeth Olsen always managed to bring the fire and power that made her the Scarlet Witch.
