The speaker is the civil rights leader and journalist Roger Wilkins. I did this interview with him in 1989. I asked him to be outspoken and direct, and to do this interview with me for history's sake. That is exactly what he did. He told it like he saw it. Like he experienced it. He had strong points of view. He came from a Kansas city family of great thinkers and speakers. He was a journalist at the Washington Post and the New York Times for many years and also did work on NPR. He also worked with President John Kennedy and became a part of President Lyndon Johnson's administration as well. In 1973, he won a Pulitzer Prize. I picked him for my TV series because of his clearly outspoken points of view and storytelling style. Please support my efforts. www.patreon.com/allinaday. #rogerwilkins #civilrights #kennedy #racism
