The Story Behind Gerda The Cheetah

This story took awhile to put together and edit, but I am really happy how it came out. what do you think?

Gerda is constantly purring. A sign of contentment, trust , joy and security. She is finally in a place she can call home .🐆

Gerda is such a mommy's girl and Messi is a daddy's boy. It's perfect. Both large cats are very much loved and adored.

People like Alexander and Maria give me hope for humanity. I feel honored to share a planet with them, and of course I love Messi and Gerda.

Soo nice to mention Ichel first.. She is not forgotten.. ♥️🏡♥️

The couple don't own Messi and Gerda for selfish reasons. They own them to give them a better life and most definitely have succeeded in doing just that.

I'm really glad Ichel was able to experience care for the first time, even if she was struggling to accept it after a lifetime in the circus. What especially impressed me was how they tried to adapt their ways to help her, such as realising why she lashed out - she was almost blind and couldn't see until things were close which startled her. Sasha realised that and they started wearing brightly coloured overalls so she could see them sooner. This type of thing shows their attention to detail in the care of their cats.

I have followed the story with Messi since the beginning. No one in the world but Sasha could sleep with a Puma and wake up to morning kisses and snuggles. Their bond as well as Masha's relationship with Gerda is incredible.

Messi and Gerda are two of the luckiest big cats on the planet. And we are all lucky to get to see their interaction with each other, Masha and Sasha, and their environment. If you've ever watched the Gerda channel, you'll know Gerda purrs more than probably any other cat in existence. Can there be any greater indication that she is a VERY happy cat?

Cheetahs especially female ones can be the tamest of the big cats Gerda is a real sweetheart

That's so sad. They are the best people to have these cats. They have put a lot of training in them. They have a better life than most people. Good job!!😊

What the couple has achieved with the addition of the cats and their adjustments to each other is proof of their loving nature and kind hearts. Truly a wonderful family.

I didn’t realize the first cheetah died so soon. I’m glad she was loved in her final days.

Gerda not only purs, but she also rolls on the ground, presenting her soft, very vulnerable belly to the world. If these are not signs of total trust in her masters, then nothing is!

This guy has a natural gift for loving cats, I hope people don’t think they could raise wild animals like this, this is a very unique couple

I am truely in awe of both of you Sasha and Masha what wonderful caring loving people you are I have so much respect for you you have given those beautiful stunning furry babies the life that they deserve I adore Messi and Gerda I would simply love to meet you all but I know its impossible however at least I can watch your incredible journey together god bless all of you with long healthy happy lives together please give Messi and Gerda a hug and a kiss from Mary in the UK ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I ran into their videos and I'm so glad I read them wrong. I thought they were collectors, but now I see they are rescuers with the best intentions. That's beautiful. I'm glad these cats are loved and safe.

They worked so hard with Itchel (and her beautiful lashes). I miss Masha calling her 'Eeechee" What an absolute heartbreak. It took someone as wonderful as Gerda to fill that gap. I wish Messi would lighten up with Gerda. She's such a wonderful girl.
