I think it is ironic that he committed his crimes wearing a mask, and now he is being sentenced to life wearing a mask.

I remember hearing about this guy when I was a kid. Everyone was scared of this guy, and no one thought he'd ever be caught. He's like the Zodiac Killer whom people believe is probably dead now. Everyone thought the Golden State Killer was either dead or would never be found. I hope DNA helps find other unsolved murders of the past.

Life in prison for a 75 year old is not victory. If you caught him 35 years ago justice may have been served. He lived the best years of his life destroying woman and there families. I find it insane he got away for 4 decades. 💔

Baffling that he was so loved by his family who saw him as a hero and a personification of kindness. I can’t wrap my head around this. I guess, you truly cannot trust anyone.

As much as victims of his horrible crimes suffered... he should suffer too and he should feel the same...exactly the same fear and powerlessness all victims felt...that's how he should pay for it!

After the first woman got up there and started talking, I thought that would be a hard act to follow; then that guy started talking about memories that will never be made. Many prayers and much love to the victims and their family.

This guy pretty much got away with all of this. His life is practically over. Eternity is long time though.

A weak apology from Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. I was surprised at his family standing up in court & calling him a wonderful ole Uncle Joe .saying how they loved him. I wouldn't want to admit that I was related to him & have some family gene's An evil creature.👿.

There is no sense of justice here. He committed horrific crimes and got to live out his life. He is on his death bed basically. Doesn't feel like justice.
