Part 2 of my miniature landscape painting demo. I first prepare the palette with a limited selection of colors. From this I lay in a foundation of "dead color" - a block-in of tones representing the local color and value structure of my composition.

This video demonstration features commentary. The footage is edited to remove brush cleaning and changes of color only. Nearly every brush stroke is included for those who wish to follow the whole process.
