Those who knew Glen Campbell said he could hear a song once and play it back perfectly. He was both gifted and a gift to all of us.

My fiancé and I got to see Glen on his farewell tour. It was right before he went to specialized care. During Rhinestone Cowboy, Glen got confused and forgot some of the words. His daughter and the band kept playing and the crowd picked up the verse and sang the last two verses. Glen couldn’t remember the words to that song but his playing was flawless. A very special moment. You could see that both Glen and the family appreciated the love.
  • They don't come close to you Glen-you we're my first musical iove- my Mum bought me a live album of yours in 1969and when she died last year I played it all night before her funeral. You will always be my first love -musical of course. Rest in peace my lovely. You will never be forgotten.

When Glen Campbell toured Australia in 1975 an 8 year old boy approached him after one of the shows and said, "Hi Mr. Campbell, I love your music, I have all your albums and I'm gonna be a singer and guitar player just like you when I grow up," and Glen said "Thank you Son, practice hard, keep at it and you'll do it." The little boy was Keith Urban, who become one of Glen Campbell's closest, life-long friends.
  • Glen Cambell was a genius. I was brought up with his great music , such a great guyxx

❤I'm so thankful that they honored this great man while he was here and able to see how muvh he was admired and loved. No one sings these songs like he does, they will always be his. This was a nice tribute though and I think they picked the right artist to showcase some of his most loved songs. My father introduced me to his music when I was very young. We would listen to his albums and watch his varirty show. My Daddy passed in 2004 after batteling Alzheimer's. I had tears watching this, all the wonderful memories flooding back. I'm so thankful his battle is over and I know he is with our Lord. God bless his family. They took such good care of him and it's evident they loved him very much. ❤

I think it Merle Haggard that said it best: "If ever a man was blessed with too much talent, it was Glenn Campbell...." I couldn't agree more. RIP Glenn.
