Part 3 of The 2015 National Building Code: What Do You Need to Know?

Published 2016-02-01
André Laroche, Senior Technical Advisor-Fire Safety at the National Research Council, was interviewed at The Buildings Show 2015 on the changes to part 3 of the 2015 National Building Code.

Mr Laroche guides us through some significant code updates from combustible construction to clarification on requirements for foam plastics, smoke tightness and fire resistant readings; the introduction of the CSA B51 and its relationship to the NBC in addressing accessibility requirements, and guard design and construction.

With more than 550 overall changes since the 2010 edition, it is imperative that design construction professionals be aware of these as a part of their professional development.

It's too bad nobody checked levels on his mic - totally over-modulated and distorted. Almost impossible to listen to.
