No matter how famous an actor gets, there is always one activity that will pull anyone down off of their high horse, and that is: the audition. Ask any actor out there, famous or not-so-famous, and they’ll tell you that auditioning is the absolute worst part of their job. And there is definitely something comforting about the fact that even the hugest, wealthiest, most famous actors in the world all started out going to one embarrassing audition after another. Because some auditions might not be so bad, but some are truly terrible. Like the fact that a nineteen year old Tom Holland had to act in front of his biggest heroes, and do a bunch of flips over and over again to be cast as Spider Man! Or how about when Shay Mitchell filmed an audition for Pretty Little Liars in the basement of her agent’s office! Jennifer Garner once wore the same outfit to so many callbacks that the producers called her agent to ask if she had any more clothes, and Jake Gyllenhaal was so unprepared for his Lord of The Rings audition that Peter Jackson called him the “worst actor” ever! That’s nothing compared to Eddie Redmayne’s audition for The Hobbit, however, when he was cut off right away for using a very weird voice, or how James McAvoy actually fake cried to get out of an audition in which he forgot all of his lines!
