  • Again she is not materialist but appreciative. I admire this young lady and she will receive even more rewards through her siblings success in life. Tears ... 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Let's give grandma some credit too she's in every clip helping too!
  • “I can’t tell them to be successful in school if I’m not.” Raised those kids, made ends meet, and to add to it did that and school. Role model of the fucking decade.

I'm sure the grandmother played a major role. She deserves a lot of credit as well.

To become a mom of 5 at the age of 17...incredible. I can't imagine the struggles and hardships this family has gone through.
  • Her siblings feel like she gave up her life for them but to her, they are her life. Such a powerful story of perseverance. A true role model and hero.

Ellen should invite her and give her a true big reward

I love how she didn't make her role sound like a burden. The way she explained that she fully enjoys being a parent figure to these kids is so admirable!
  • “i’m a kid” the fact that she stepped up, stopped going to school, and took up a job at 17 years old, for five siblings is so incredibly impressive.
  • I lost my father at 24 and my mom at 25. I’m the oldest of three siblings and one was in high school at the time. Stories like this really make life worth living. Seeing this big sister step up really gives me the extra boost of strength I need. Luckily for me my sister was in college and my brother a junior in hs, so they are able to do a lot of things for themselves. But things can still seem so hard for me even with their help. I have days where I feel like a failure because before my parents died I didn’t finish college and only have a hs diploma. But fortunately my father had insurance and we were able to purchase a home. All I have to do is pay bills and teach my siblings to drive and the small things. Seeing this makes me so grateful. 😢 I feel bad sometimes because I miss my mom and dad so much. And didn’t get a chance to make them proud while they were here. But I have faith that if they could see me now they would be so proud. This video is so beautiful to me I could hardly breathe watching..fighting back tears. This post goes out to all the children who lost there parents no matter what age. Be encouraged. God bless
  • The fact she can speak about this without crying shows her real strength.
  • The fact that she’s using the word “kids” rather than “my siblings” makes me feel sad like she really went through soooooooo much acting like mom/dad. A lot of love for her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

She has set the bar high for her siblings and I am sure that she and her family will be successful. What an amazing young lady. There are adults who couldn't do what she has done and continues to do. What an awesome story!!!!!
