Megan you are not bragging at all. You should be very proud of all your finds. You worked very hard for them and deserve every blessing in finding them. I love the way you have styled your home.

I am retired now but I used to care for elderly people in their homes. Nearly all my furniture and most mirrors, lamps and bits and bobs were given to me by the old people or their relatives. Plus I've lovingly held on to the few things I was able to save from my grandparents apartment in Vienna. They have a craftsmanship that you just couldn't possibly afford today. My mother and grandmother both made their own lace and embroidery. I like to honor their skill and effort by displaying their work. I hope someone who appreciates these things gets them when I die.
  • I totally agree with you, that’s why almost everything in my house is either thrifted or given to me as hand me downs. Thrifting is my favorite thing to do.
  • I love the way you have found ways to stack and display books. Your husband's proud comments are just so precious. You've created a beautiful family and home.

Wow, I thought I was the only person whose ENTIRE house is from thrift stores! I love that I'm rescuing good stuff from ending up in the landfill, and my house is not cookie cutter - it's my style. There should be a book on us!

I’m at the point in my life when I am donating to thrift stores instead of shopping at thrift stores.

Meg, I love how Mike encourages your creativity, because it truly is a gift from God. Thank you for pointing out that thrift stores often will "tell you what you like". You're right, and I often go in with something in mind but settle on something else.

This is SUCH a fun tour - I remember when you found many of these items, I remember you figuring out the origin of the German cabinet and when you first got the quilt that lovely viewer made you, I remember the first configuration of the side room with the awkwardly angled wall and loved that one AND this new one, and all the videos about the process of decorating the dining room... wow! In every piece, every room - so many fun memories as well as learning new things about them. Thank you!

I keep thinking about downsizing, but I love everything I've collected. You've made me walk through my home to just enjoy the old books, the dishes, the baskets and the wonder of bargains through the years. Thank you!

I adore the comic relief mysterious backstory of the kids evolve behind Meg. They are trying so hard to be inconspicuous while making themselves the opposite, by tte time Jude came back with the chair, I forgot what Meg was doing.

I love this channel! You’re not bragging, you are just sharing. I love thrifting too. I was having a really terrible day with lots of anxiety attacks, and your video came up and I can’t thank you enough for turning that all around into a great day! You guys are amazing!
  • I truly love hearing someone talk about what they "love" in their homes. So much more fun to watch then someone hating what they have:)
  • You're decor for your rooms are very nicely put together, and you didn't have to break the bank doing it. Turning the wardrobe into a curio cabinet is a good idea

You are a breath of fresh air! What a pleasure to see a house decorated with personality instead of trends and to watch a thrifting video where the items were bought to specifically furnish a home, not to resell. I built my forever home 4 years ago, and needed to furnish and accessorize it almost completely from scratch. About 75% had to be thrifted or from Craigslist, but they are the highest quality, most beautifully-made antique and vintage pieces I've ever owned. I will never again waste my money on mass-produced, pressboard 'trends'. You have collected with a good eye and all your pieces will look as good in your new home as they do in your current rental because they reflect you.

I’ve started thrifting and have found some beautiful treasures. And I’ve been able to add to my classroom library. Thank you!
  • You are a thrift store kindred spirit!! My house is almost all thrifted, antiqued, bought from others or passed down. Love that gorgeous piece your tv is on in the family room!!! What a score! Also that bunny lamp is so so cute! You have found great stuff and have a great eye! And cheers to liking what you like rather then what’s trending!!! 😀-Liz in FL🌴☀️
  • Yes. I buy only old hard woods after my beautiful “new” furniture literally fell apart. I was upset. But then after thrifting and garage sailing I have gorgeous forever furniture!

OooOOOHH! Your bedroom rug would look fabulous in your family room and the pastel pink one in the bedroom!
