Nice explainations! Over here in South Africa the Deye (Fusion / Sunsynk) are the leaders, popular inverters over there are defintely high-quality. 10 year warranty is amazing.
  • Another great video Finn with easy to understand summary of the key things to look out for with inverters. Keep up the great work :)

Lol, epic thumbnail! Thanks for the update
  • Great information, thanks. I was confused at one point though as 'really' in Australian English sounds very close to 'rarely' in American or British English. At first I thought you were not recommending oversizing!
  • Hi there, 1st let me give you my congrats on an awesome channel and very helpful content. I am about to purchase a solar system composed of 8 SOLAR Panel HYUNDAI MS10 SHINGLED 480W PREMIUM MONO, (self use for a home) with no batterires for now and with a row of panels south facing (I live in Portugal) I need some help to decide which is the best inverter for these panels. Should I go for the GOODWE GW 5048 D-ES WI-FI or the SOLIS RHI-5K-48ES-5G or do you sugest a better solution? Thank you for your help, and keep making these awesome videos. Best regards. Nuno

Hello, where would you place Solax inverters on the chart? I’m trying to make an inverter decision for a 10 kw on-grid system for my house. I’m in Turkey and I can get the Huawei and the Solax for about the same price. My installer is recommending Solax, apparently its after-sales support is good here. What would you recommend?

Thanks for the videos My only thought is the gap to micro inverters is more like 50% more
  • superb video! I am just curious if pure sine wave is a standard for any modern invertor by famous brands?

Hi Finn, in WA now, all new power meters allow you to monitor consumption as well as export on a 30min cycle thru your online Synergy account. Is is still worth getting a consuption monitor? Cheers
  • Would you have any recommendations for a 6kw wind inverter replacement?
  • Which type of inverter is best to tie to the Public grid system so that I could sell excess power to them and also use battery back up. A system that will not stop if the public electrical grid goes down.
  • @RichardDeal
SolarEdge inverters come with standard 12 year warranty and modest upgrade to 20 and even 25 year is offered by manufacturer. You failed to mention the different rapid shutdown issues that for many is going to push towards optimizers or micros over string as most requires module level electronics for the shutdown.

Great video... Thanks. Might want to mention the new CEC approved inverters and batteries must be able to be remotely controlled by the power companies to limit production if and when needed.

Hi Finn, Good video mate, but I too thought you are saying “rarely a good option” when oversizing than really. It’s quite overt, and puts across the opposite meaning.
  • @Vivrichards1
Thanks for the video. Do you need 3 phase power for a system larger than 6.6 kw?
