GRIZZLY ATTACK SURVIVOR back in the woods! Bow Hunting Montana Elk

Published 2020-03-28
Go bow hunting for elk in Montana right in the heart of grizzly bear country. Eastmans' subscriber Bob Legasa was the survivor of a grizzly attack the year before. This is a redemption hunt for Bob as he returns to harvest the bull elk he set out for the previous hunting season.

A special thanks to Bob Legasa for allowing us to share this video with you.

  • Bob is a personal family friend of mine. He's doing very well and still hunts. He's been hunting for over 20 years of his life but like everyone he messed up. He's lucky to be alive and lives every day to the fullest. Same with his family. Also Bob is kind of the funny guy of the group and his family unsurprisingly has a similar sense of humor. When they got to the hospital after the emergency surgery they had brought honey in a bear-shaped jar, gummy bears, a Montana Grizzlies sticker, a book about how to avoid bear attacks, and of course a teddy bear to keep him company 😂 I think they will be okay 👌

Glad that shot worked out. Nice footage and way to get back out there! Nice job 👍
  • And when it was over--dead elk! That is definitely getting back on the horse, pretty bad-ass.

Not to many U- Tubers put out this info! Way to go Eastmans, and yeah, a ton of outdoorsmen are sick of no control! I'm from Cda also, and alot of Griz up North of us too. Run into them all the time! Super awesome black bear hunting, but risky because of Grizzlies!! Keep it up and this guy supports and subscribes! Way to go!!

S0 VERY HAPPY YOU ARE OK. I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE THE COURAGE TO GO BOW HUNTING AGAIN. CONGRATULATIONS

Not that I didn't respect Eastman's before, but to put out the video showing the reality despite a less than perfect shot it's respectable as fuck.
  • Why me and my wife both carry handguns in chest rigs with bear spray on top of gun if spray fails guns for us 😁

I wonder if anyone wore a electric shock jacket for those close encounters, having a grizzly bite you one time and having shocked it or maybe a shock stick, maybe a sticky shock puck, you throw it on them and press a button shocks the shit of them. :) then if it's still on them when someone else has the same system they can push their button and it automatically connects and shocks them again. MMM good thing he okay tho.

I hate seeing guys take that frontal shot with a bow! (I'm a bowhunter) While it is lethal, the margin for error is pretty small. Glad to see his bear attack isn't keeping him from the woods.
  • Another FYI you don’t need hairspray and Idaho they don’t have grizzlies actually I should say we don’t have grizzlies well maybe with the exception of way up north close to Montana you might get one come in but outside of that no grizzlies in Idaho
  • Forget the bear spray That would be a Ruger 480 to the head before she ever got to me

you have to cow call and stop the bull where you want him. Don't waist time hoping he stops where you want........
