Six firearms go head-to-head in this week's episode, as Forgotten Weapon's Ian McCollum and our very own Keeper of Firearms & Artillery Jonathan Ferguson battle it out to prove they can find the slightly weirder firearms in our collection.

If you had free rein in the National Firearms Centre, which weapons would you pick? Let us know in the comments.

It's always a good day when Johathan and Ian get together.
  • The Royal armories does not endorse any claims relating to the alleged burning of war materials by Australian persons following the second world war
  • Ian proudly presenting the SA80 and Jonathan saying "explain yourself" was hilarious
  • @johndallman2692
The SA-80 is a punk rock AR-18. I liked Mikhail Kalashnikov's quote when he was shown one: "You must have very clever soldiers."
  • "All the germans did was remake every single part to the correct spec and hardness." may be one of the funniest lines in the video.

Gun Jesus and The Curator Together… 🤝 This moment deserves a poster
  • @Cmoth040
I love how Mr. Ferguson ends the video holding what is basically better known as a Star Wars blaster than an actual firearm.
  • @jf6647
Shooting the Mars pistol "singularly unplesant and alarming" I actually lol'd The most British way of saying this gun sucks to shoot
  • @tankj0ck3y
Johnathan's reaction to Ian walking up with a SA80 is gold.
  • @bfish9700
LMAO @ the SA80 "I feel like I'm being trolled."
  • @yoface2537
Ian: picks a complex and gritty looking lmg Johnathan: stick with mag
  • @mitsune13
this is just therapy for Jonathan for what gamespot subjects him into

12:41 “shall we do some midsized guns?” Jonathan already did that round with the mars
  • @johngrimes6078
I simply LOVE the fact that even though they're both nerding out to an epic degree, neither of them has a gap in muzzle or trigger discipline. Even though they're pulling guns that are clearly unloaded (hell, some of them don't even have available ammunition anymore), they are both such consummate professionals that there's never any lapse of safety. Gotta say, I'm enamored.

I love the anxiety Johnathan exhibits as Ian pulls out the SA80. Ian couldn't resist to troll, you gotta give it to him, it was a perfect opportunity.
  • @Cats-TM
Him picking the left handed SA80 perfectly proves what you said in the video on it! When put on the spot most people will not notice the fact it is left handed.
  • I love the whole sequence of Ian bringing in the SA80 as a power move, only for him (a famously left-handed shooter) to miss that detail about that specific rifle.
  • @Clash1138
Shooting the Mars pistol was described as "singularly unpleasant and alarming" What a nice way to describe the fear that it might explode in your hand
  • Okay, props to the editors for all the cheeky annotations and jokes!
