EASY BREAD RECIPE:

1 1/3 cup warm water (100-110*F)
2 teaspoons active, dry yeast
2 teaspoons brown sugar or honey
1 egg
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
3 to 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

In a large mixing bowl, combine the water, yeast, and sugar.

Stir until dissolved, then add in the egg and salt.

Add the flour one cup at a time. Once the mixture is too stiff to mix with a fork, transferred it to a well-floured countertop.

Knead for 4-5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is continues to stick to your hands.

Shape the smooth dough into a ball and place in a bowl. Cover with a dish cloth and let rise in a warm place for one hour (or until the dough has doubled).

Grease a standard-sized loaf pan (9"x5"). After the first rise is complete, punch down the dough and shape it into a "log". Place it into the loaf pan and allow to rise 20-30 more minutes, or until it starts to peek over the edge of the pan. Bake in a 350* oven for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned.

So I’m a 38 year old ex construction worker that is unable to work due to injury. I have made 4 loaves of bread off this video. It just keeps getting better every loaf. These are my first 4 loaves ever. Thank you for this. The struggle of working 80+ hour weeks to sitting at home is rough. Now I have something to do that relaxes me. Thank you for this. Gave me some hope for my life. Super relaxing.
  • I'm a 17 year old girl who barely cooks anything, and today I decided to make bread using this recipe. By the end of this it brought happiness to the whole house even though it’s just a bread 😭 but it meant more than that to me ! Thank you so much 🦋💗💘💘

"if you're mad at somebody you'll knead even better." I'm gonna knead the hell out of this dough.

This is the way all these videos should be. Most people talk endlessly and ramble about topics having nothing to do with baking. I'm just learning, and I'm grateful that you posted this video.

the more you knead the dough, the less sticky it becomes. Resist adding flour to correct the stickiness.

Omg this turned out great! I'm pregnant and was craving cinnamon rolls though. So I sprinkled brown sugar and cinnamon on top before putting it in the oven to bake. When it came out I buttered the slice and sprinkled cinnamon and powdered sugar. My husband gobbled his down. So delicious and versatile! Thank you!
