Confucius Institute enabled Cuban students to know more about China

Located in the Chinatown in the capital city, the Confucius Institute of Havana is the only certified institution in Cuba to teach local people about Chinese language and culture.
The institute opened in November 2009, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the University of Havana and Hanban, China’s official organization to promote its language and culture in overseas countries.

In Cuba if they teach mandarin in schools from pre k. By the time time they reach 6th grade most will be fluent.
