Honestly, I enjoyed watching this more than the all star game. This is definitely the game of the year. The field was beautiful, and the game was crazy. I loved every minute of it. I hope MLB does something like this again next year.

This is probably one of the smartest things MLB ever did. Now if there smart they'll do it every year. It keeps the people rooted to where it all began. It's great for MLB PR.

That walk off with the fireworks was the ending of "the natural " with Robert Redford lol. Hard to believe it wasn't scripted. Great game instant classic.

Can you imagine how Kevin Costner is feeling being able to walk out of the corn what a dream come true
  • What a historic ending to a historic game. šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

I am not much of a baseball fan, my wife is, I catch it here and there. I get into the playoffs. This was the first game I've watched start to finish since the last world series and it was absolutely amazing. Everything about was super interesting. From the uniforms to the field, the aesthetics, the old wooden look. It actually took me back to a time of old baseball movies. Much better looking than gaudy, enormous advertising in a sea of giant boring, multi colored goo. How awesome was it to see so many balls end up in the corn! Think about it, a field of corn was one of the stars of the whole experience. And the game, WOW! You couldn't write a better storyline with excitement and intrigue end to end. When the movie came out, if you're of that generation who all flocked to see it, this was a pretty awesome tribute to the special memories of so many. It was a simple movie to make out in an Iowa corn field. No explosions, car chases, shootouts. Just a story, in some ways much like a theater stage play that required the characters to deliver the impact. And that it did. Amazing job.

Once my little league son and I walked out to the old Atlanta stadium. I stood and paused in the same batters box that Hank Arron did. I looked around at the crowd, it was mesmerizing. I remembered my dad and me watching Babe Ruthā€™s record being broken on TV, and here I was for a moment in time back with him and my son.
  • Seeing kevin come out with James Horner's music from the movie and all the players was overwhelming awesome. James is smiling in heaven
  • I've watched this every day since it happened. Good for the soul. I don't remember loving the game this much since I was a kid. It's just perfect...

Fun fact the first time the white Sox walked off against the Yankees the player who hit it was Shoeless Joe Jackson. For those who donā€™t know, that was main characterā€™s fatherā€™s favorite player in Field of Dreams. So cool

No politics, just the game at it's purest. This is what we want to see.
