What to see in Peñíscola, Spain (Valencia)

Published 2021-09-12
What to see in Peñíscola, Spain. In the region of Valencia, Peñíscola is one of the most beautiful towns to visit. A castle constructed by the Templar Knights crowns the city and rises above the beautiful beaches stretching along the coast. Visit the historic old city and see the Sierra de Irta Natural Park not too far from Peñíscola.

I can't believe I missed this video. You keep adding to the 'to-do' list, thanks! Nice video!
  • We are entering the area through the port at Castellon, is the old town in Peniscola the prettiest town to stroll, shop and enjoy meals? Do we have to hike up to the Luna Castle to enjoy the cobble stone streets with the white washed buildings? Is there a place closer to the port that you'd recommend for enjoying streets like you featured in this video? We wanted to keep this port a low-key day but we love strolling around beautiful old towns. We will arrive in mid-April, 2024.

What is the best time of the year to head to Peniscola for a week? I'll be flying in from the USA.
